Proclamation to Portuguese in Macao by acting [Hsiang-shan] magistrate. It is reported that the expulsion of the governor is being plotted. In that event the viceroy will be petitioned to memorialise recommending the termination of the Portuguese lease of Macao. Received on 17 Aug. Believed by the Company to be a forgery.
