Order from acting sub-prefect for Macao to Elphinstone. A United States merchantman recently entered port without waiting for a pilot for fear of attack by the Doris, and for fear of attack by United States vessels English ships have delayed entering or leaving ports. In accordance with the viceroy's orders Elphinstone is to instruct the Doris to sail for home at once and to instruct the other vessels to enter or leave port. (Dated: 7m 23d).
